Benedetta “Detta” M. DeVleeschower (nee DiGerolamo), 79, of Collings Lakes, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2022.
Prior to retiring, Detta was a legal secretary in the Atlantic County Public Defenders Office for the State of New Jersey. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church and proud member of the Catholic Daughters of the America's Court #2262 from 1984 - 2022, where she served as a Regent and also held officer positions. Detta was always willing to help the Church she loved so much. She was also an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. So much so that she quit cooking family dinners because "Sundays were for the Birds!" Most of all, she adored her family and held a very close bond with her brother Charles.
Predeceased by her beloved parents Charles and Rose (Scarpinato) DiGerolamo. Beloved wife of David L. DeVleeschower. Devoted mother of David C. DeVleeschower and the late Mark DeVleeschower. Dear sister of Charles (Karen) DiGerolamo and the late Madeline (late Carmine) Fiore. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Friday, September 23rd from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 19 Malaga Rd., Collings Lakes. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:30 PM. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown.
