Catherine “Cass” Ewer (nee Comerford), 91, of Atlantic City, formerly of Collings Lakes, sadly departed this life, on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at her residence in the comfort of her loving family.
Cass was born on March 4, 1932 and raised in Philadelphia. She was a graduate of Hallahan High School, Class of 1950 and lived in Collings Lakes for over 60 years. After retiring from Guaracini Shop Rite in 1992, Cass kept busy working part time for the NJ Assembly Filing Room for 14 years and served on the Atlantic County Republican County Committee working the elections for 25 years. She was recognized and honored as “Citizen of the Year" for Buena Vista Township. Cass was a longtime member of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, serving on Parish Council, Women’s Club, Social Event Chairperson and a past Regent of the Catholic Daughters Ct. 2262.
Surviving are her two daughters, Kathi Ewer & Nanci Ewer and her sister Dolores Schillo. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Mary Comerford, her siblings Jack (Bernie), Patsy (Bill), Marie (Bob) and Billy.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, December 16th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at our Lady of the Lakes Church, 19 Malaga Rd., Williamstown, 08094. Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
