Charles W. Johnston, Sr.

Charles W. Johnston,”Chay”, Sr. 70, of Piney Hollow, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Chay was president of the Game Horse Association of New Jersey and past president of the New Jersey State League of the Masters Plumbers Association. He loved his collections of tractors and cars. He enjoyed playing golf, attending horse shows and spending time with his family at family functions.

Beloved husband of Valerie (nee Pantarelli). Devoted father of Jenny (Carlos) Mayo, Charles “Beez” Johnston Jr., Jessi Johnston (Adam), Danny (Kelly) Shinault and Tim (Dana) Shinault. Dear brother of Edward, Johnston, Jeff Johnston, Sam Johnston and Rene Lenzi. Loving grandfather of Marisol, Mariela, Marisabela, Carlitos, Marianqing and Chayqiutian Mayo; Luciana and Veyah Johnston; and Dulcemaria and Sofia Shinault. Also survived by his first wife and friend Benda Johnston, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewings on Friday, December 11th from 6:30 – 9:00 PM and Saturday, December 12th from 10:30 – 11:30 AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Time of Remembrance will follow at 11:30 AM. Interment Friendship Cemetery, Landisville.
