Diane Babiy, 79, of Williamstown, peacefully passed away at home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026

Devoted partner of 26 years to Ronald Straub; mother of Zachary Bell and the late Brian Bell; sister of Patricia (the late Barry) Mullen; and aunt of many nieces & nephews.

Diane retired from Monroe Township Public Schools as a secretary in 2020. She enjoyed the camaraderie with the teachers and staff, especially the interaction with the students. 

She was most proud of her time with the Philadelphia Eagles, as a baton-twirler that performed before each game called the Eaglettes. She formed a twirling group called the Bobbets that performed in South Jersey parades. Her  time as a twirling teacher allowed her to make many lifelong friendships.

She adored her excursions with Ron, exploring antique shops. She was an avid antiquer and was part of the Historical Society of Monroe Township. 

Through the course of Diane's extended illness, she never lost faith. She accepted each challenge with grace and smiles.  Even though her body faltered, her spirit never did.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday, May 13th from 10:00 -11:00 AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S.Main St, Williamstown. Time if Remembrance will follow at 11:00 AM.
