Estelle Resnik-Ostroff, 83, of Glassboro, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2023.
Estelle was an energetic, amazing woman who (after already having earned a B.A. and an M.A. from Glassboro State College when she was younger) earned her Doctorate in Education from the University of Pennsylvania while working and raising four young children as a single mother. She was a long-time Professor of Journalism and English at Salem Community College and also worked as a faculty member and administrator at other institutions of higher education. Her greatest pleasures in life were her grandchildren, gardening, and the beach. She loved music of all kinds, as well as poetry and literature.
Estelle was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Ostroff, and her brother, David Perlman. Estelle was the beloved mother of Carl (Dorie) Resnik, Ken (Coralie Cooper) Resnik, Elina (Fred) Lerro, and Daniel (Kathy) Resnik. She adored, and was adored by, her seven grandchildren: Neil, Jeffrey, Nico, Manisha, Angelica, Darren and Alex.
