George E. Koehler

George E. Koehler, 83, of Williamstown, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Sunday, December 4, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  

George was a proud Veteran of the United States Army.  After the Army, he began working for Garvey Corporation in Blue Anchor, NJ, where he was a loyal and dedicated employee for 43 years before retiring in 2005. He enjoyed fishing and hunting moose and wild game since he was 12 years old.

Predeceased by his loving parents George and Margaret Koehler, formerly of Newfield.  Beloved husband of Hazel (nee Pearce) for 57 years.  Devoted father of Margaret Drinkwater.  Dear brother of Margaret “Peggy” (Charlie) Firth.  Loving grandfather of Becky, Jacob and Andy.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, December 10th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 South Main St., Williamstown.  Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM followed by Military Honors. Private Inurnment Rose Hill Cemetery, Newfield at a later date.
