H. David Peters, age 94, sadly passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025. Born June 3, 1931, in Wildwood, NJ, he was a proud graduate of Wildwood High School Class of 1949. He was a longtime resident of Wildwood and North Wildwood before retiring to Ocala FL for 23 years. Most recently, he resided in Williamstown, NJ, to be closer to his family.
He worked for many years in the sign business at Allied Lanza Signs and ABS Sign Company in Wildwood. He was responsible for building and servicing many of the vintage neon signs that illuminated the greater Wildwood skyline in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.
He was also a proud member of the Townbank Volunteer Fire company. He joined as a volunteer in 1953 and was a life member. During his years at Townbank, he obtained the rank of Lieutenant and served as President, Vice President and was on the Board of Trustees. He was one of the first five Fire Commissioners, elected and remain a Commissioner until 1971.
He is survived by his loving wife Rose of 73 years, his two sons, Wayne (Ginnie), Mark (Eileen), grandsons Ryan (Maria), Brad (Heather), Mark Jr. (Caitlyn) and Matt (Claudia) along with seven great grandchildren.
Family and Friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, December 20th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment Fairview Memorial Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
