Ivan Gastelum-Zuniga

It is with profound sorrow that we share the unexpected passing of our dear Ivan Gastelum-Zuniga, 17, of Winslow Township, NJ, on March 9, 2025. Ivan was born on March 12, 2007 in Sewell, NJ to his parents, Maria T. Zuniga and Oswaldo Gastelum. He is survived by his parents, his sister Viviana A. Gastelum, his brother-in-law Daniel Garcia-Sotelo, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Ivan was a senior student at Winslow Township High School where he was known for being a shy kid, but as soon as he came out of his shell, he was the funniest. His laugh was contagious, and had a way of making you laugh when you least expected it. You never knew what he was going to say next. Ivan was kind, had a great spirit, and was such a caring person. Ivan had a huge heart and there isn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family. He was the best son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend we could’ve ever asked for. Whether it was with his close friends from school or friends he made through his late friend, Brenden from Delsea Regional High, Ivan loved spending time gaming, thrifting, eating his favorite foods, working on cars or just listening to music with them. Ivan was irreplaceable and he will forever be in our hearts. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ivan’s viewing on Saturday, March 15th from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville. Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM. Cremation private.
