James “Jim" Stewart of Washington Township, NJ, passed with his wife and daughter at his side,on Sunday, June 6, 2021.
Jim was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in both New Jersey and Texas. He was very proud to serve in the U.S. Army and as a Military Police Officer. After his service, Jim traveled the country and finally settled back in New Jersey where he married and raised his daughter.
Above all,Jim was a family man and loved his family dearly. He was a nurturing man and animal lover. Jim volunteered with the Camden County Animal Shelter and adored his dogs. Jim enjoyed golf, racquetball and working out. He loved coaching his daughter’s basketball and softball teams,and taking family trips to Disney World.
Jim was a beloved and dedicated husband to his wife, Jodie, of 28 years. A devoted and proud father to their daughter, Alexandra (Alex). A loving son to his recently deceased father, John (Jack) of 93 years of age and surviving mother, Alice of 92 years of age. Dear brother to John (Marlene) Stewart. Survived by sisters-in-law, Eileen (Jack Verna), Janet and his niece and nephews.
A Private Memorial at the Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery will be held in honor of Jim’s service in the US Army at a later date.
