James “Jeffrey” Benedetti

James Jeffrey Benedetti, 62, of Portland, OR, passed suddenly on Friday, June 16, 2023, at his home.

Beloved son of the late Oscar and Violet (nee Testa) Benedetti. Dear brother of Eileen Plum (Donald), Gregory Benedetti (Becky Sass) and the late Marlene Toffler (Bill). Loving nephew of Diva Troiano and Edna Thomas. Loving uncle of 11 nieces and nephews and 25 great nieces and nephews.

Jeff worked for Amazon for many years and held many different jobs prior to that.

He was eccentric, tried to save every penny and was a terrible driver. But he will always be remembered for how he played on the floor with his nieces and nephews, his love and knowledge of sports and music, his excellent work ethic and his love for his family.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed going to the movies and the casino. He also enjoyed free breakfasts at the local hotel just because the sign said “FREE”.

Jeff had the purest and biggest heart and was always willing to help someone in need. He recently invited a coworker to live with him after the man found himself homeless. Jeff had lived alone for the past 9 years. His roommate proved to be a blessing.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, October 21st from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish / St. Mary’s RC Church, 32 Carroll Ave., Williamstown. Memorial Mass will follow at 11:00 AM. Inurnment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown.
