Janet DeClementi

Janet DeClementi, 73, of Richland, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Janet was born in Egg Harbor City, NJ on December 10, 1950.  She was a graduate of Oakcrest High School and Glassboro State College (Rowan University) where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education. Janet was a dedicated educator in Egg Harbor City, East Vineland, and Millville. She loved teaching her students, consistently going above and beyond for over 36 years before retiring. Her compassion positively touched the lives of hundreds of students and their families. We remember Janet’s love and support for her family and friends. She was always willing to give help to any and all who needed it. Her mantra of “Focus on the Good” was her driving force embedded in every day of her life. She would say to all that mourn her passing not to cry but to think good thoughts and do good actions.

Loving daughter of the late Marie and Frank DeClementi. Dear sister of the late Frank (Kristin) DeClementi, the late Gerald (the late Jackie) DeClementi, Marie (the late Vito) Sherma, Diane (the late Robert) Hennessy, JoAnn DeClementi, and the late Vincent (Lori) DeClementi. Devoted mother of Richard (Christine) Zucal and Gregory (Emily) Zucal. Loving grandmother of Theo, Nick and Leo. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Loving partner of Joseph Smith. Also surviving are many extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, September 21st from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 AM. Inurnment Egg Harbor City Cemetery.
