John R. Pernigotti, 64, of Blackwood, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home.
John was born and raised in Connecticut. Not long after moving to New Jersey he met the one who made his life come alive. The love of his life, Bonnie L. (French) Pernigotti. She became his constant companion which led to a 43 year-long marriage to his best friend. John was an accomplished artist, sign painter and all-around multitalented man. His life was an on-going creative pursuit. He was a family man who adored his children. A dedicated Father, who not only lived to become a grandfather, but an active great grandfather. He was also an awesome Uncle who loved his nieces and nephews. His love and compassion were felt everywhere he went. His kindness permeated everywhere he went. He could not bring himself to pass by anyone less fortunate, especially the homeless without giving a helping hand. An avid animal lover who enjoyed being in nature. John lived his life without wasting a single minute. He will be sadly missed by all of those whose lives he touched.
Loving son of the late Joan and Peter Pernigotti. Beloved husband of Bonita “Bonnie” (nee French). Devoted father of John Richie Pernigotti (Melina), Bon Bon Pernigotti-Cortes (Lou) and Alysha Ricciardi. Dear brother of Karen, Michele, Jody, Debbie, Mark, Lucas, the late Peter, the late Jamie and the late Patrick. Loving brother-in-law of Dennis, Vince (late Gloria), Billy (Judy) and the late Bobby. Loving son-in-law of the late Norma French. Loving grandfather of Brielly & Cricket Linn, Jade, Bella, Julian and Gel. Loving great-grandfather of Ronin, River and soon to be baby girl. Loving uncle of Josh, Michael (Gabby), Craig, Danny, Chrystal, Tara, Heather, Sherry and many more nieces and nephews. Survived by dear friends Mike, Rob and Mark. Predeceased by his “cool cat” Tuffy.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, March 30th from 11:00 AM – 12: 00 PM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main St., Williamstown. Eulogy will follow. Private Interment Brotherhood Cemetery, Williamstown.
