Joseph R. Senatore, 84, a previous longtime resident of Williamstown, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Joseph was a proud owner of Lic-D-Split, a beloved local gathering place where so many families made special memories enjoying ice cream, miniature golf, and the batting cages. He found great joy in supporting youth sports teams and loved seeing the happiness and smiles his business brought to children and families throughout the community.
Joseph was a 6 year veteran of the Vietnam War and very proud of his country.
In addition to being a dedicated business owner, Joseph was a hardworking man who spent over 40 years as a proud union member of Local 14 Insulators, where he was respected for his commitment and strong work ethic.
Joseph also lived a life rooted in faith. He loved the Lord deeply, and his trust in God guided him throughout his life.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Grace Senatore (née Chew). He is also predeceased by his sister, Jane ( the late Lou) Collazzo. He is survived by his sister Bessie ( the late Alan) Tedesco, his brother, John Senatore (Jackie), and his sister, Jan Walter (Ted). Joseph was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, and was honored to be the godfather to many. Joseph will be laid to rest beside his mother, whom he dearly loved.
His kindness, generosity, strong faith, and devotion to family and community will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1
May Joseph rest in the peace of Christ, reunited in God’s eternal love, and may comfort be found in the promise of everlasting life.
