Joseph Veroline, Jr.

Joseph Veroline, Jr., 89, of Williamstown, NJ passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 18, 2023.

Joe was born on April 19, 1934, to Giuseppe and Anna Veroline in Camden, NJ.  He was one of seven children.  He was a member of the Army National Guard for 11 years.  He worked for A&P (Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co.) for 32 years and Amoroso Baking Company for 15 years before retiring in 1992.  Joe was an avid hunter.  He loved to hunt in Tioga County, PA and Millboro, VA.  He got his biggest deer (a 9-point buck) in VA.  He also was a huge fan of the Philadelphia sports teams, but his favorites were the Eagles and Phillies. He never missed a game.  He loved spending time with his family playing poker on Friday Nights, jitterbugging in the kitchen and enjoying his favorite meal, pasta and Sunday gravy.  We have so many wonderful memories to cherish and he will be greatly missed.

Predeceased in death by his beloved wife Doris Veroline (nee Smith) and his six siblings.  He is survived by his six daughters.  Susan Perry and husband Shawn, Donna Campagna and husband Sam, Debbie Lajoie and husband Don, Lisa DeJesus and husband David, Cheryl Veroline and husband Jeff Reiman, Irene Lamb and Husband George. Also survived by his 11 loving grandchildren and 13 loving great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, May 23rd from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 South Main Street, Williamstown.  Time of Remembrance will follow at 11:00 AM.  Cremation private.
