Joyce Marie Wittje

Joyce Marie Wittje (nee Evans),67, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and many friends on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Joyce graduated from Williamstown High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education.  Joyce was a teacher in the Camden school system before becoming the owner-operator of Little Friends Day Care.  Joyce was also a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Williamstown.  Joyce enjoyed traveling, antiquing and trips to smorgasbords in Lancaster County.

Predeceased by her parents Bette (nee Ivans) and Kenneth Evans.  Survived by her husband of 40 years, Louis Wittje, Sr., loving mother of Brad Wittje and Tyler Wittje (Breelyn), step-son Louis Wittje, Jr. (Lenora); grandchildren Allison, Max, Lauren, Danielle, Louis III and Kayla; brother Kenneth Evans (Dorothy); cousins, nieces and nephews, and several other family and friends. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, February 24th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM.  Interment Brotherhood Cemetery, Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the First Presbyterian Church of Williamstown, 430 S. Main St., Williamstown, NJ 08094, in Joyce’s name.
