Obituary

Karen Ann Johnston (nee Frolio), 56, of Franklinville, passed away suddenly on October 27th of complications from recently discovered Ovarian cancer.

Karen was born to John Frolio (Elaine Gubbine) and the late Diann (Claudius) Ham on August 15, 1965 in Bridgeton, New Jersey. She was raised by her beloved aunt Peggy Warburton and grew up with her brother Micheal Frolio and cousins Peter Warburton and Debbie Pennington She attended Cumberland Regional and graduated in 1983.  

In 1987 she met Sam Johnston and they wed on January 14, 1989 and went on to have two children, David and Samantha.

Karen began working at the Williamstown Farmers Market in 1999 and worked there for 22 years. She was well beloved by her many smoothie and candy customers. 

Survived by her two children David (Chelsea) Johnston and Samantha (Tom) Bartlett and her beloved grandchildren Chad, Sadie, Juniper, and Gideon. Dear sister of Michael (Susan) Frolio and the late Robert (Lynn) Music. Karen will be deeply missed by those she left behind on this earth, she was a light to all who knew her with her contagious laughter, her strong opinions, and her compassionate heart for people and animals. Karen is now with her savior Jesus in heaven, a comfort in this terrible and unexpected time.

Devoted mother of David (Chelsea) Johnston and Samantha (Tom) Bartlett.  Dear sister of Michael (Susan) Frolio and the late Robert (Lynn) Music. Loving grandmother of Chad, Sadie, Juniper and Gideon.  Loving cousin of Joanie Catalano, Tommy (Carol) Pennington, the late Debbie Pennigton and the late Peter Warburton.  Raised by her dear late aunt Peggy Warburton. 

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, November 4th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main St., Williamstown and Friday, November 5th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Living Faith Alliance Church, 1987 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Cremation private.

In lieu of flowers donations, in memory of Karen, may be made to the Cohanzick Zoo, 45 Mayor Aitken Dr, Bridgeton, NJ 08302.
