Kathryn "Kay" Joyce Anne Tanner (nee McMahon) was born on September 1, 1943 and passed away on September 26, 2024 at 81 years old.
Born in Germantown, she attended Immaculate Conception School and church until 1956. Kay was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church since July 1956 and she loved her religion and her church. She graduated from Clayton High School, Class of 1961. She was very involved with Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Newfield, NJ. She loved her family, holiday gatherings, and keeping in touch with friends. As an avid sports fan, she could often be heard cheering for the Sixers, Eagles, Phillies, Clippers, Villagers, and more.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lloyd Lee Tanner, Sr., her children, Lloyd Lee Jr. of Las Vegas, NV, Wayne Louis Tanner (Bernadette) of Mullica Hill, Joyce Anne (Bruce) Fisher and Megan Szumowski of Clayton, NJ. Kay is survived by her sisters Margaret M. McMahon of Clayton, NJ and Suzanne V. Luebkert of Manchester, NH. She had two grandsons Wayne L. Tanner, Jr., and Matthew M. Tanner and two granddaughters, Kaitlin Reeves and Lilliana Fisher. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews and great granddaughters, Danica and Charlotte.
She was predeceased by her brother, William J. McMahon, her son, Jeffrey A. Tanner, her granddaughter, Theresa A. Tanner, and her nephew, Timothy M. Luebkert.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation at St. Michael the Archangel Parish / St. Catherine of Siena RC Church, 700 N. Delsea Drive, Clayton on Saturday, October 12th from 9:30am-11am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will take place at St. Bridget's Cemetery, Glassboro.
