Larry Lang Obituary

Larry W. Lang, aged 80, of Williamstown, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Larry was born February 8th, 1944, in Altadena, California and grew up in various states throughout the country before settling in the Bordentown and Columbus, NJ area where he was a long-time resident.

Larry proudly served 24 years in the United States Navy, 4 years as an active member and 20 years as a reservist before retiring as a First-Class Petty Officer in 2003. In addition to his time in the Navy, Larry retired as an employee of the State of New Jersey. Beyond the pride he took in his work, Larry was an avid fisherman and sports fan who could regularly be found watching college basketball or any Philadelphia team, especially his beloved Phillies. Throughout his life he wore many hats ranging from sailor, fire fighter, and sports fan, but nothing gave him more pride than the hat he wore as a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Larry was preceded in death by his father and mother Albert J. & Catherine Lang, and sister Genina Logan. Larry’s memory will be cherished by his dear wife of 48 years Kandy E. Lang; his daughter Meredith (Eric) Van der Poel and grandchildren Lilliana and Blake; son Marc (Paige); brothers David Lang (Margie) and Timothy Lang (Beth). He will be further missed by his cousins, nieces and nephews, and several other friends he made along the way.

As per Larry’s request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.

Donations can be made in Larry’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
