Leonard C. Borromeo, 71, of Blue Anchor, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021.
Len was born in Trenton and moved to Willingboro when he was eleven years old. After graduating from John F. Kennedy High School in 1967, he enlisted in the US Air Force, ultimately serving over 30 years in the reserves and on active duty, including deployment to the Middle East during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He received numerous awards, including the Air Force Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Longevity Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters. He retired in 2008, having attained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. Len was employed for many years in heavy construction equipment sales and service, including with Costa Contractors Equipment in Riverside and Absecon. He was an avid reader and dog lover, especially his beloved Bailey. In addition to his family, he leaves behind his dear friends, Martin and Janet Costa and their family. He was predeceased by the love of his life, Kathy Costa.
Loving son of the late Edward and the late Maryann Borromeo. Dear brother of Adeline (Thomas) Weisenbeck and Edward Borromeo. Loving uncle of Joshua (Lisey) Borromeo.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday June 15th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, June 16th from 10:15 – 11:15 AM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main Street, Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM at St. Charles Borromeo RC Church, 176 Stagecoach Rd., Sicklerville. Inurnment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown.
