Lois Hingston

Lois Hingston (nee DiPietro), 80, of Williamstown, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Saturday, June 3, 2023.

Lois worked at Babes Village Inn in Minotola as a bartender and restaurant manager for many years.  She also worked in her late husband’s family medical practice as a receptionist. Some of the things Lois has enjoyed most throughout the years were going to the Borgota, playing backgammon, crisscross, blackjack, crocheting blankets and stockings for all and jarring tomato sauce from scratch. She loved to take boat rides (even though she didn't get to do it often) and watch her grandchildren play sports, loved to swim, absolutely loved her Christmas Eve dinners followed by singing Christmas carols.  She enjoyed getting crabs every year for her and her children to enjoy.  She loved her open house Halloween parties (doing the mummers strut), singing with her kids and grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late William L. Hingston, M.D.  Devoted mother of Daniel (Lalie) Crawford, Debrah (Michael) Hamilton, Steve Crawford and Kim (Steven) Walsh.  Dear sister of Marie Wilson, Verna Lench, Linda Tanner, Marian DiPietro and Allan Smith.  Loving grandmother of Danielle, Caitlin, Stephanie, Michael and Delaney.  Loving great-grandmother of Trevor.

Graveside Service will be held 11:30 AM Friday, June 9th at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown, Walnut St., Williamstown.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that a donation be made in memory of Lois to the Paul A. Van Houten, D.O. Memorial Scholarship Fund, 220 East Pine St., Williamstown, NJ 08094.
