Maria (Tropiano) DeRitis

Maria DeRitis (nee Tropiano), 84, of Williamstown, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020. 

Maria was born in Santa Caterina dello Ionio, Italy and moved to Philadelphia where she married her husband Joseph and raised their beautiful family.  She worked as a seamstress for many years in a sewing factory.  She enjoyed the beach and adored her family.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph DeRitis. Devoted mother of Lawrence DeRitis and Maria (Richard) Douglas. Dear sister of Vince Tropiano, Rosie Cairo, Betty Mastrando, Nick Tropiano, Gina Pizzo, John Tropiano, Sam Tropiano, the late Joe Tropiano and the late Frank Tropiano. Loving grandmother of Thomas, Steven (Simone), Gaetan and Sophia. Loving great grandmother of Kayden.  

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, December 28th from 11:00 – 11:30 AM at St. Monica RC Church, 2422 S. 17th St., Philadelphia, PA 19145.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM.  Entombment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
