Marie "Yvose" Bertrand

Marie “Yvose” Bertrand (nee Civil), 66, of Blackwood, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Marie was born on May 10, 1956 in Leogane, Haiti to her loving parents the late Exante’ Rhia and late AnnMarie Civil.  She enjoyed visiting her homeland and her family there as much as she could.  She spent many years as a nurse, retiring in 2018.  Caring and giving came naturally to her.  She loved to shop and dress up for all occasions. Always graceful and considerate of everyone, a true lady.   Her grandchildren were her heart, she loved the time she got to spend with them.   

Beloved wife of Ony Bertrand.  Devoted mother of Diane (David Wood) Bertand, Berline (Jean Alix Aime) Bertrand, Jean (Genghina) Bertrand and Vladimir Bertrand.  Dear sister of Ellaine Rhia Fabien, Bernadette Rhia Fabien, Kelie Rhia, Isbonne Rhia, Mariline Rhia, Marie GuetineRhia Calixte, RoseMarie Rhia, Joseph Jean Rhia, Garmel Rhia and Nixon Rhia. Adoring grandmother of Liliane, Belle, Jena, and Jordan.  Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.  Dear friend to many.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, May 6th from 8:00 – 9:00 AM at the First Haitian Baptist Church of Williamstown.  Funeral services will follow at 9:00 AM.  Interment Manahath Cemetery, Glassboro.
