Mason Hughes, Jr. Obituary

Mason Hughes, Jr., 89, a retired member of IUEC Local 5, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland, New Jersey.


Mason was known for his hardworking spirit, dedication to his trade, and deep love for his family. Throughout his life, he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those who knew him through his years of service and commitment.


Mason was predeceased by his sons, Mason Hughes and Richard Hughes.


He is survived by his beloved spouse, Lorraine Cromley Hughes; his daughters, Kathy (Mike) Bastian and Lorraine (Joe) Landicini; five cherished grandchildren; eight treasured great-grandchildren; and his sister, Grace Snow.


He will be remembered for his strength, devotion to family, and the many memories he leaves behind for those who loved him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of knowing him.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Saturday, July 18th from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Plainville Methodist Church, 3232 Main Rd., Franklinville. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 AM.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home at Vineland, 524 NW Blvd., Vineland. NJ 08360.
