Michael L. Hallman, 48, of Williamstown, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully, at his home on Saturday, May 30, 2026, after a difficult battle with an aggressive form of ALS, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Philadelphia, Michael was a proud graduate of Villanova University and built a successful career as a Director of Marketing. He possessed a creative spirit and a passion for the arts, particularly poetry,and photographing the Philadelphia skyline. Michael also enjoyed cooking, especially with cast iron, was an avid Beatles and Elvis Presley fan, and appreciated life’s simple pleasures with a good glass of wine. As an amateur actor, he played the lead role in Villanova’s “Dead Man Walking” and was awarded best supporting actor in the Grand Theater’s “A Streetcar Named Desire.” Learning was a passion of his, as he could speak 6 languages and was fluent in four. His warmth, intelligence, and sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Above all, Michael treasured his family and many friends and the many memories they shared together. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
Michael is survived by his beloved parents, James Hallman, Jr. and Patricia (née Harlan) Hallman; his dear siblings, Patricia “Tricia” Kolodiy and her husband, Nick; James “Jim” Hallman and his wife, Audrey; and Suzanne Johnson and her husband, Jared; his loving nieces and nephews, James IV, Anna, Mark, Cameron, Christopher, and Addison; and his beloved dog and best friend Koda.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Michael’s life and honor his memory on Friday, June 5th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM and Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 32 Carroll Ave., Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM. Cremation and Inurnment will be held privately.
