Patricia Anthony Obituary

Patricia (Pat) A. Anthony (nee Sooy), 82, of Williamstown, NJ passed away on July 24, 2024, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, wife and friend.

Pat was born in Cramer Hill, NJ on February 15, 1942, to the late Norman Sooy and Mary Sooy (nee Leiner). She moved to Williamstown, NJ and raised her three sons Jack Jeffries, Michael Jeffries and Steve Jeffries (Michele) as a single mother. In 1987, she met the late Daniel Anthony and they married on April 26, 1989. They shared 35 years of love and adventure that included several cruises to Bermuda and the Caribbean. Pat was a beloved longtime employee of Thomson Lamination from 1980 until her retirement in 2016, where she built many friendships over the years.

Family meant everything to Pat. She enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandson. She was at every event and enjoyed watching her family thrive. She always saw the beauty and the potential in every member of the family. Her love and support were truly unconditional.

Pat was always funny and vivacious. She could light up a room with her presence. She enjoyed going to tropical destinations on her many cruises over the years. Her favorite destination was Bermuda. She also loved family trips to Oak Island, NC.  On a quiet day, she could always be found lost inside of a good book.

Pat is predeceased by her husband Daniel Anthony, brothers David Sooy (late Claire) and Ronald Sooy (Clara), brother-in-law Frank Muratore and son Michael Jeffries. She is survived by her siblings Elaine Goodman (late Al), Jean Muratore (late Frank) and Norman Sooy (Jamie), her sons Jack Jeffries and Steve Jeffries (Michele), her several grandchildren; Jessica Jeffries, Amanda DiPrimio (Joe), Marin Jeffries, Toby Meehan, Finnegan Jeffries, Jackson Jeffries, Allison Jeffries, her great-grandson Arron Lopez and soon to be great-granddaughter Raelee DiPrimio as well as many extended family and friends.

Pat was a beautiful woman from the inside out and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know her.

Per her wishes, all arrangements will be made privately within the family.  In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Wounded Warrior Project @ www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
