Patricia Peacock Obituary

Patricia A. Peacock (nee Devlin), age 81, of Williamstown, NJ, a loving Wife, devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, died peacefully on November 21, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.

She was born and raised in South Philadelphia, the third of five children. After graduating from Saint Monica’s Commercial School in 1958 she worked in the Aviation Section at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard Yard and in May of 1960 married the love of her life, John J. Peacock III.  In 1964 they moved to Williamstown, built a home and raised a family of six children. She worked in the Monroe Township Tax Collector’s Office for a brief time and as a medical receptionist for a number of doctors in Williamstown before retiring with her husband.

Patricia was a fabulous cook and master homemaker who loved large Sunday Dinners with her family and anyone who happened to be in her home.  Her table and home were always open.  She enjoyed sharing memories and stories of living in France with her husband, while he was stationed there in the Army as much as she loved making people laugh with her colorful comments and language.

Her greatest pleasures were simple; spending time with her husband, taking rides to the shore and dining out with him and being surrounded by her children and grandchildren as often as possible. She loved the home she created with her husband almost as much as she loved him, where every room was impeccably clean and the sense of family and love was always warm.

Patricia is predeceased by her husband of more than 56 years, John J. III, and survived by her six children; John J. Peacock (Marie), Kathryn Mary Offner (John), Karen Ann Collins (Kenneth Jr.), James J. Peacock (Lisa), Joseph G. Peacock (Kimberly) and Claire Marie Peacock, her 18 grandchildren; Jena, Kristine, Victoria, Jacqueline, Amanda, Daniel, Andrew, John Jr., Patrick, Gerard, Evan, Brendan, Jack, Joseph, Carleigh, Dara, Charles and Jamie; 7 great grandchildren; Payden, Colton, Nathan, Waylon, Pearse, Luca and Emarie; and her loving sister Kathleen Devlin. Predeceased by her parents Charles P. and Katherine E. (Gannon) and 3 siblings; James Devlin (Dorothy), Charles Devlin (Ethel) and Carol Goddard.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, November 27th from 9:00 – 10:45 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish / St. Mary’s RC Church, 32 Carroll Ave., Williamstown.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
