Ronald Wesly Booth, Sr., passed away suddenly on July 31, 2026, in Gibbsboro NJ, where he and his family lived since 1964. He was born on July 11, 1943, in Berlin NJ to the late Gilbert Booth and Doris Booth (nee McKinsey).
Raised in Berlin, Ron graduated from Edgewood High School, Class of 1961. In 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara Mobley, and they shared 64 years together. He retired from the Winslow Township Police Department after 25 years of service and, throughout his career, also did masonry work and drove 18-wheelers. Ron also volunteered with the Gibbsboro and Lindenwold EMS squad.
Ron was predeceased by his wife, Barbara. He is survived by his three children, Ronald Booth Jr. (Judith), Kevin Booth (Kimberlee), and Belinda Pizarro; his siblings, JoAnn Booth, Dennis Booth (Karen), Janice Cage (James), and Steven Booth; seven grandchildren, Ronald Wesly Booth III (Lisandra Dannette), Brittany Booth, Andre Pizarro, Kevin Booth II (Ashley), Robert Booth, Ashley Pizarro, and TJ Booth (Ashley); and eight great-grandchildren.
Ron had many passions. After high school, he continued playing football, basketball, and softball. Later, he traded his cleats for coaching youth football, umpiring softball, bowling, deep-sea fishing, and hunting. He also earned his pilot’s license and flew his plane locally.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ron’s viewing on Monday, August 10th from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00PM. Cremation private.
