Stefania Switenko, nee (Lozynska), 99, of Marlton, NJ, formerly of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lonhyn Switenko. Devoted mother of Roman (Angela) Switenko, Martha (Paul) Bruninghaus and Zenon (Lidia) Switenko. Dear sister of Olena, the late Dmytro, the late Michael and the late Lidia. Loving grandmother of Roman, Alexis, Matthew (Carolynn), Krista, Victor and Ariana. Loving great grandmother of Luke and Myles.
Stefa, as close friends called her, was a strong woman, having fled from a world war as a teenager, spent several years in a displaced person’s camp and traveled across the world to America.
She was a wonderful cook and baker and many happy hours were spent around the dinner table with family and friends. She was very active in her churches, Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church and St. Michael Ukrainian Catholic Church. She had an amazing memory of the people, places and events in her lifetime. She loved her needlework, making Ukrainian pysanky (or decorated eggs) and her gardening.
She and everything she gave will be greatly missed by her family all over the world.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, July 20th from 9:00 – 10:00 AM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 S. Main St., Williamstown. Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM. Interment Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Williamstown.
