Steven F. Melhado

Steven F. Melhado, age 70, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025. 

Steven was a dedicated hairdresser with a passion for music, travel, and adventure. The life of the party, he loved having fun and making others smile. His warmth and laughter made him unforgettable. If you knew him, you were lucky—if you met him, you never forgot him. Steven’s joy, laughter, and love for life will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Predeceased by his parents, Gilbert “Harry” and Rose Melhado, and sister, Donna Prus. He is survived by his siblings, Sandra Calsamilia, Andrew Melhado (Dianna Yurkow), and Matthew Melhado, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He is also survived by cherished friends who became family, especially best friend Cookie Shivers. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 4th, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Peace Parish / St. Mary’s R.C. Church, 32 Carroll Ave., Williamstown. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.
