Theresa Howard, a cherished woman known for her beautiful heart and love for others, left us on February 11, 2025.
Theresa lived a life with a focus on God and a tremendous love and passion for her family of sons, granddaughters and great grandchildren. Theresa is predeceased by her father James Howard and mother Grace Howard, her sister Patricia Annocki (William) and brother James. She is survived by her sister Mary Jane Steuer (Michael), sister in law Ellen Howard (James) and sons William Grayson and Robert Grayson (Darleen), granddaughters Kimberly Booth (Robert), Victoria Manfredi (Joseph), Cara Grayson (Neil Schoppmann), Danielle Smith (Tyler), Tiffany Turner (Louis Pelosi), Chelsea Reckeweg, Ashley Reckeweg and her great grandchildren, Ellie, Joey, Peter, Grayson, Everett, Teddy, Aidan, William, Logan, Everleigh and Bryson and many nieces, nephews and their children, all of whose lives were greatly enriched by Theresa’s presence. Theresa’s departure leaves an unfillable void in all of their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.
Theresa graduated from Saint Maria Goretti Catholic High School located in Philadelphia where she grew up. She was a Philly girl from Second Street and loved the Phillies, Eagles and Mummers. She moved to Fairview in Camden at the age of 19 where she raised her boys and then they all moved to Washington Township in 1980 where she touched lives in Bells Lake and baked cookies and took many trips to Sesame Place and Storybook Land with her granddaughters. She had a love of peanut butter ice cream and chocolate covered cherries and could cook an awesome pork chop. She worked as a bookkeeper at McCrory’s in Camden and at Drug Emporium in Turnersville and was well respected. She always balanced her cash to the penny. She was a shining example to her boys and raised them as a single mom and was there for them ALWAYS. This was one of Theresa’s most commendable accomplishments. She was an amazing mother, Hall of Fame material. In her retirement she moved to Williamstown where she was a parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church. She never missed mass and loved God and Jesus with all her heart and soul. She treasured being a godmother to her niece Susan Marshall and granddaughter Cara and a confirmation sponsor for her granddaughter Danielle.
