Theresa Marie Pluta (nee McGoldrick), 94, of Williamstown, passed away peacefully with family by her side at her son’s residence in Fort Valley, VA.
Predeceased by her parents Joseph McGoldrick and Margaret (the late John) Maguire (nee Casey). Beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Pluta, Jr. Devoted mother of Teresa (late William) Burkhardt, Joseph (Kim) Pluta III and the late Patricia Pluta. Dear sister of the late Margaret Fitzmaurice, the late Mary Kirlin and the late Joseph McGoldrick. Loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Loving aunt, great aunt and great-great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Theresa grew up in South Philadelphia with Mummers in her family tradition. She was one of the first waitresses at Pat Steaks and worked at Continental Whiskey as a machine operator and troubleshooter. She was later a first business owners with her husband of a Mom & Pop Shop in Victory Lakes for 20 years. They later settled in North Wildwood and became owners of apartment homes and the Carlton Motel on 24th St. until they retired and moved to Florida and Williamstown.
Theresa’s Irish eyes and smile will be missed by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, September 26th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 S. Main Street, Williamstown. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lakes RC Church, 19 Malaga Rd., Williamstown. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery, Williamstown.
