I met TR at the library. We became friends and stayed in contact. He was a good guy who had a lot of books and videos. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I first met T.R. when I succeeded him as Director of McCowan Memorial Library in Pitman, N.J., and he was Director of the Glassboro Public Library. He helped me immeasurably in this venture and, in short order, we became fast friends. He was immensely funny-- both sarcastic and self-deprecating-- and, at the same time, very sensitive and caring.
There is little room here for all the cherished memories I have; the most endearing memory I would like to share is his incredible love of Christmas and, specifically, Christmas trees ... who can forget the 70+ fully decorated trees in his house!?!
Over the years, as our lives took different directions, we saw little of each other, and I regret that we lost contact except through birthday cards; I always believed that we would "soon" get back in touch with each other, and now it is too late ... I'm sorry for this, and I'm sorry, too, Robin, Tina, Rob, and Anthony for your loss. Anthony, you were the light of T.R.'s life ...

Thank you for the kind words. He truly appreciated your friendship and had spoken of you often. In looking back, he taught us all so much...and I don't think he realized how much he impacted our loves.

TR was my friend and he died too young.
I was so glad to know him, in adulthood. Even though we live in Richmond, VA, I was glad that we chatted on the phone sometimes, and also glad that we met up at the NJ Renaissance Faire recently. It was good to see him again in person, and good to share the day doing something we enjoyed. Timothy and I send our deepest sympathies for the loss of someone who was smart, and compassionate, and said what he meant. Wishing you all comfort with each other and comfort from memories of him. Sent with love, Jane Charlier Emrick

He loved having the opportunity to spend time with you at the NJRF. He attended only two faires, and enjoyed them tremendously; I wish he could have attended more. Thank you for the kind words and the memories. He is so missed...

There was no one like T.R.-I loved his humor, his fierce loyalty, and his giggle when he was particularly pleased with something. I tried to understand his aversion to food that was green and was amused by his devotion to one brand of butter. He was quite a character; his many friends and his family will likely attest to that. He was much loved but his quality of life suffered due to his health. Now he has no more pain and is finally free. Love you, T.R.-your spirit will be truly missed.
