Since Lance had his stroke nine years Lance has fought to maintain his independence, dignity, grace, respect and humor. Frankly, he was just incredible the lions share of the time, even as his health steadily declined. Those of you who made an effort to be a part of his life contributed in immeasurable ways to his overall well being. Nothing heals the soul like knowing others care. One unsung hero is my soul mate Joanne, aka "The Dude" as Lance has affectionately called her for the last 40 years. With her love, understanding, compassion and care Lance was able to smile and laugh knowing he was never going to be alone in the world with his troubles. We owe a debt of gratitude to any and all who have touched Lance's life. Your love and friendship meant the world to him and to us.
God Bless you all, Larry & Joanne

My sincerest apologies, I understand it's been a long time since his passing but after seeing this, I wanted to convey my best. Lance and I were friends and roommates for a couple of years in Columbus and I remember him fondly.
I often thought of him as an older brother, I was his smarter younger sibling from another mom.
To my one and only LB.
Miss ya,
Gladstone

Larry, That was one of the most beautiful Eulogies I've ever read. You described Lance's struggles, and fierce determination so well.
He had a Great sense of humor and that's how I choose to remember him!
Thank you for giving my Mom props for taking care of and being there for Lance these past 10 years. She Loved him so much and she will be lost without him.
